The TEC3000 Series are smart thermostat/controllers designed for commercial HVAC / building-automation applications. They provide both local control (stand-alone) and networked control options, with field-selectable communication to Building Automation Systems (BAS) via BACnet MS/TP or older N2 protocol. They support a variety of control outputs and are aimed at maximizing comfort, energy efficiency, and flexibility
Specification
Communication Protocols Field-selectable BACnet MS/TP or N2 networks. Some models are wireless (ZFR Pro network). This allows flexibility in integration. Stand-Alone or Networked Operation Can function independently (stand-alone) or be managed by BAS when networked. Enables remote monitoring, programming, scheduling, etc Control Outputs Types On/Off, floating, proportional (0-10 VDC) outputs. Supports various types of units: fan coils (single- or multi-speed, variable speed / EC motors), unitary rooftop units (RTUs), heat pumps, VAV with/without reheat, cabinet unit heaters. Onboard Sensors & Options Some models include occupancy sensors; some include humidity sensors. These help optimize operation (reduce energy use, dehumidify, etc.). User Interface Backlit display, touchscreen in certain models; intuitive UI; configurable display and access levels (lockout levels) to restrict what users can change. Show plain text messages for ease. Scheduling / Occupancy / Energy Savings Weekly schedules (local or via BAS), occupancy detection (internal sensor or external input), unoccupied/standby setpoints, optimal start (pre-heating or pre-cooling before occupancy) etc. Potential energy savings (especially in commercial building settings) claimed up to ~30% in some situations. USB Port For configuration – backup/restore settings; cloning configuration between multiple units; firmware updates. Helps speed up installation and maintenance.
